Ford F-150 Remains America's Top Choice

Forbes recently published a glowing article about the longstanding success of the Ford F-150, and it included some truly staggering statistics about the best-selling pickup truck in America. For example, over 32 million Ford F-Series models have been manufactured to date, and on average two of them are sold in the U.S. every minute.

The Ford F-Series business in 2017 was worth $41 billion, which is more than Facebook, Coca-Cola, or Nike. It has been the best-selling vehicle in this country literally for decades, and the 2018 Ford F-150 is the best version of the model yet.

It's no wonder why Hall Ford Elizabeth City customers love the vehicle so much. Updates include a new grille, bumpers, tailgate, and wheels, while the lights have been upgraded, as well. There is a new base 3.3-liter V6 engine, while the two other engine offerings have been graced with more power than the outgoing version. Almost all the engines get a new ten-speed transmission, making the drive more efficient and effective than ever.

As such, the sales numbers in the first quarter of 2018 have been understandably impressive.

"March represented a strong start to the spring selling season for both Ford and the industry. We saw incredible demand for our trucks and SUVs, selling over 87,000 F-Series pickups," said Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service.

If you are interested in taking a closer look at the new 2018 Ford F-150, come pay us a visit here at Hall Ford Elizabeth City and we will be happy to get you behind the wheel for a test drive any time.
