The 2021 Ford F-150 was recently debuted, and it offers the capabilities that you've come to expect from this iconic truck, along with some style tweaks and a few new features that makes it even more useful.
New Exterior Features for 2021
The 2021 Ford F-150 has been redesigned, but it keeps most of the key elements from the 2020 model, which includes the lightweight aluminum body panels. The bumper and hood have been tweaked, and there's more details in the fog light surrounds and new “C-Clamp” headlights. There are also now 11 grille options to choose from and multiple tailgate designs for drivers to pick from.
Speaking of the tailgate and the trunk bed, this year's model also offers a unique in-bed power station that provides at least 2,000 watts of power and two 120V outlets. Two more powerful versions of this feature are available with the PowerBoost hybrid engine, another notable new addition for this year's model. We don't have official stats on that new powertrain's output just yet, but Ford wants it to lead in its class so expect to see an output of at least 420 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
New Interior Features for 2021
The inside of this Ford truck also receives some upgrades, including a new and improved SYNC® infotainment system that's more intuitive and responsive than ever before. The new standard screen size is eight inches, and drivers can upgrade to a 12-inch screen in select models. There are also new interior storage options available, including a lockable rear under-seat storage solution that's great for keeping items organized. There's also a new center console called the “Interior Work Surface” that can fold down to create a workspace for a notepad or a small laptop.
