Your tires are an important part of your vehicle. If you have questions about them, you should ask them! We talk about Ford tires a lot here at Hall Ford Elizabeth City, so we invite you to take a look at our tire FAQ and see if we have the answers you're looking for.

What Do I Do When the Tire Pressure Light Comes On?

If your tire pressure light comes on and stays on, it means that one or more of your tires isn't properly inflated. This can result in a flat or a shorter lifespan for your tires, so we recommend pulling over as soon as you can to check the pressure of all your tires.

When Do I Need to Replace my Tires?

Your tires need to be replaced when the tread depth gets too shallow. This usually happens around 50,000 miles. Sometimes, however, tires wear faster. You can test this easily. Put a penny in the tread upside down. If you can see the top of Abe's head, it's time for new tires.

What's the Correct Tire Pressure?

Your ideal tire pressure should be located on the inside of your driver's side door. If it's not there, check the owner's manual.

Why Are Tire Rotations Important?

A tire rotation removes your tires from your car and places them back on in different positions based on wear patterns. This can help extend the life of your tires by ensuring the tires wear at a more even rate.

Do I Need to Upgrade My Tires?

Are the tires that come with your vehicle good enough? Usually, but we can also help drivers upgrade their tires if they're really intent on putting their Ford vehicle to the test. Off-road and performance tires are available for many of our models.
